This TV replaces a previous Samsung TV. I was happy with it but it was time for a new one.
My new Samsung Smart TV is fantastic. It does everything you could want from a TV and more.
Easy to use menu allows moving from one function to another with ease.

wanted to upgrade my tv for the ps5 i have pre-ordered, so really shopped around for one with hdmi 2.1 and the ability to run 4k@120fps and 8k@60fps (no games like this yet for ps5, but they say coming). the picture on this tv is stunning. watching the 8k videos on youtube (make sure codec is avo1 for 8k or will show in 4k) is absolutely surreal, truly jaw dropping. picked up the hw-q950t soundbar with it and the q symphony (combo soundbar and tv) creates very rich sound field. the 8k upscaling is brilliant also on 1080 and 4k content. so glad i made this purchase, expensive but worth every penny!!

Great for gaming or watching a movie and easy to move around

I did not have trouble setting it up. And I'm not a techie

I love how this uses QLED technology. This is impressive because the blacks are really black like the OLED tvs out there and it was really surprising since it's still requires a backlight. It's still kind of better than OLED because you don't have the screen burn in issues and it is more bright and vivid than OLED
RetirementTime
Had debated OLED, Nano, and QLED, but this 8K QLED ended up being the best product for the pricing. We have not found anything we have not enjoyed with this television, and it has worked seamlessly with every product we connected to it. Beautiful picture, and an easy setup makes it a great all around product.

Love the size and I love the great brightness it has and I also love that it has Hulu and Netflix and the Samsung tv on with just a click of a button. I would Definitely recommend this TV to someone.

Amazing Quality! No issues or damage in shipping. Definitely worth buying. Upgraded from 1080p 2013 Samsung to 8k was stunning. Also looking forward to using new Xbox series X with this tv. Highly recommend it!

Great picture. Sound could be a little better. Waiting for sound bar for a long time. Dynamic picture and Hockey certainly go together

i loved my 65" 1080p panasonic plasma. i waited and waited... 2020, it was finally clear that i would get a superior picture (in many aspects) than my trusty old plasma.
this q800t tv rocks. by shear luck (and lack of patience) i got this tv at the very front end of corona. was it easy to get upstairs? no. of course, i managed.
this thing is fantastic in every possible way. next month, i've got a hdmi 2.1 denon avr coming to replace ole trusty x4000.
super minor, but my 1 complaint, is it's taking me some time to figure out how to expand the memory. i can probably shove a micro sd card in somewhere, but i wanna see documentation before i buy it.
love it, she's part of a 7.2 setup. we are not lacking power.

great product and great experience

Overall, it has been a great experience. The television has many different features, including allowing me to beam the pictures to the screen from my phone. I really love the ambient mode which serves as a good backdrop. The picture is so clear.

This TV is everything and more of what I had hoped it would be. The clarity is amazing in every setting, the color is so vibrant it looks and feels exactly like real life.

I like the product and would buy again. This is a new app I found

Recieved my 65 inch 8k a week ago and have it mounted in my basement. It looks Amazing!!! Still tinkering with all the settings but so far so great. I bought a TV on the Samsung trade up program a little over 2 years ago and now upgraded to this TV also on the trade up program so I'm hoping that this program is honored because no one at customer service has any clue how the program works. Hoping and praying i get my discount but other than that I am happy with the product.

I bought this tv about a week ago and boy do I have to say I love it.
My intentions were to be an early 8k adopter and prepair for when the PlayStation 5 will be arriving later 2020. So their is not much 8k content out but I did make a side by side comparison with my 65" Samsung Curved 4k tv. I used a 8k video from YouTube...make sure its 8k there is a lot of fakes. Its definitely cleaner and more crispy picture. The upscaling of content is great I know its not true 8k when upscaled but man is it gorgeous.
I choose this over a OLED just because LG OLED is prone to burn in screens and there Warranty does not cover it. The stand for this tv is awesome its curved and allows you to be able to set a sound bar without it being in the way. The tvs speakers have been improved but its still best to go with a sound bar if you want great sound quality. Gamers this tv is awesome for (Gaming). Game Mode plus delivers a 9.4ms input lag which is amazing for a tv. The setting I'm using is Smart sensor off, black detail 3, video mode Dynamic cool, brightness 45, and High Contrast. Some things I don't like is the stand is heavy about 40lbs byitself. The tv sits higher up because of the stand I didn't know this.. about 4 inches higher. Newer Apps are downloadable, Disney Plus, Funimation ect.

Not only the quality of the picture is amazing, the features such as Screen Mirror from either iOS or Samsung based mobile devices is flawless. Love that I can control it from my start device too. You have to get the expensive sound bar with it though. These TVs are not designed to emit sound so I recommend Samsung's HW-Q90R 510W sound bar, it shakes the house a bit. Great product overall!

I replaced a 10 year old 65" plasma. This sits further back and has a significantly thinner bezel (mm vice inches). Off, it only looks a bit larger. On, and the 1/3 larger screen makes itself known!
CORONA crazy, so streaming services are reducing resolution... the inputs are on the right side of the tv, 5' further from my A/V rack. I should have longer and higher bandwidth hdmi cables here within a couple days. Then I can really see what the 75" q800t is capable of.
I was tempted to buy the 2019 90 series, but I felt the extra green was worth paying for the hdmi 2.1 inputs. 2020 was a good year for TVs. I hope to own this one 10 years like my old plasma.
Final note for now, I really like the remote and I'm digging the interface.
Update
I've now watched several HDR 4k discs and found a few 4k movies to stream, like Trolls 2 last night. Best family movie night yet. Bigger is better. The bump from1080p to 4k is quite noticeable in my front row. The HDR is... probably even more impressive than the resolution upgrade.
I feel like HDR is the next generation of Darbee. Anyone remember that? I have it on my oppo blu ray player and it makes colors pop. When there's something shiny on screen... it's so bright.
I may unplug my roku. This tv does practically everything itself. For kicks, the coaxial input is hooked up to my circa 1995 atari jaguar, heh. The lil ones are having a blast with my old games. I am having a blast with 4k HDR!!!
Only drawback, the box was too big to get into my attic so I had to make room in the garage. That is a drawback I can happily live with.
Update #2; 11 SEP 2020
Wow, I feel bad for the consumers who had bad experiences. I've got a couple degrees in Optics so I know a bit about what is capable of being observed by the human eye. My TV has continued to be flawless. The more I tinker with it, the more options/capabilities I uncover. I may have small regrets on getting the 75" instead of the 82", but that was a $2k price difference in the spring! As I said, it's noticeably bigger than the 65" Panasonic I replaced. This set exceeds the plasma in every possible way. Now it's time to go from 7.2 to adding 4 ceiling atmos channels!!! I don't deserve my wife. She's an angel
Oh, I also bumped my trusty ole Denon X4000 up to a new 2020 X3700. At the time, Denon, only, supported hdmi 2.1 8k with their AVRs. There may be more now, but I love the familiarity of the new Denon. It powers my 4 surrounds. A 60ish pound Emotiva 3 channel handles my front sound stage. I picked up another Emotiva amp to handle the four ceiling Atmost speakers. No doubt over kill, but that's what hobbies are for!

This is my fourth Samsung TV. You would guess that they would get better and better. But for some reason this one didn't. It's much more complicated. It's harder find things. I am used to The Box to connect all my wires this one everything has to go to the back of the tv and look cluttered. I do like the voice remote, That is how I am writing this review. Maybe after a few months My opinion will change.

would like more accessible help. How do you record? Could find no help. It took forever to set up stuff that should have been simple because there are no manuals available. Once I figured it out it's fine. Still can't find a few things.. Overall I am happy within product.. This survey would not take the correct tv description. I have a 43" 7 series 4k HIS smart tv
